COULD IT GET MUCH BETTER THAN THIS?
Awesome counselors, creative games on land and water, great food and lots of fun are just a few reasons why summer camps at Twin Rocks are amazing!
On the edge of a dense, evergreen forest, with the magnificent Oregon Coast just a block away, Twin Rocks Friends Camp sits in a truly amazing place. The seven-mile stretch of sandy beach offers Twin Rocks campers opportunities to build sand castles and beach bonfires, take seaside strolls, search for sand dollars, boogie board, and offer praises to the Lord while watching breathtaking sunsets.
Blessed with 120 peaceful acres, Twin Rocks Friends Camp has wonderful trails that wind through wetlands along the shore of Spring Lake, then climb among tall evergreens to the top of “Charlotte’s Mountain.” Park benches, fire circles, a boardwalk, a covered bridge, and “Victory Circle” amphitheater help bring these natural areas alive for campers.
God’s majesty is evident everywhere you turn at Twin Rocks Friends Camp!
There is truly something for everyone at Twin Rocks Friends Camp.
If you are an outdoor enthusiast, we have miles of hiking trails through beautiful forests, wetlands and beach, sand-court volleyball, archery, disc golf, miniature golf and horseshoes.
If you were born for the water, you can have hours of fun canoeing, kayaking, swimming and playing on the Aqua Jump in Spring Lake, or skim boarding, boogie boarding and wave jumping in the Pacific Ocean.
Let your competitive side out in the Shelter where you can play basketball, volleyball, pool, foosball, air hockey, ping-pong and shuffleboard.
If you are looking for an adrenaline rush try the Extreme Swing!
Create unique keepsakes such as ducttape wallets, tie-dyed t-shirts or invent a new drink at Undertow Espresso. Eat to your stomach’s content courtesy of our amazing kitchen staff. You’ll enjoy gooey cinnamon rolls, strawberry covered waffles, savory BBQ chicken, and much more.
Build relationships through all-camp worship, meaningful conversations with friends, cabin-group discussions, and one-on-one time with caring adults. Take some time for yourself. Grab a blanket and your Bible, or simply walk along the beach and discover a spot to call your own for a time of rest and reflection.
A Word to Parents
Summer camps at Twin Rocks Friends Camp and Conference Center are designed to provide kids/youth with active, adventure-filled experiences within a safe learning environment. Each camp provides campers with fun recreational activities, creative uses of the out-of-doors, positive peer interaction, supportive and caring friendships with Christian counselors, and solid Bible-based teaching. A registered nurse or physician is on site at each overnight kids/youth camp to assist with medical needs.
Scholarships
A limited number of scholarships to Twin Rocks are available through local Friends churches and the camp. For details, please contact a Friends church or the camp at 503-355-2284. Please don’t let a lack of funds deter you from coming to camp. Call us.
Excellent Staff
What makes Twin Rocks’ camps so successful? Its outstanding staff. Each camp leadership team includes education and/or youth ministry professionals intimately familiar with camping methods and experiential learning techniques. These leaders relate effectively with today’s young people, and are committed to keeping camp fun, engaging, safe and Christ-centered.
Twin Rocks is blessed with a slate of handpicked, carefully trained cabin counselors who model Christian commitment and strength of character. The counseling staff provides the backbone to our summer camp program, where purposeful small group activities stand at the core of camp. While campers enjoy an abundance of all-camp activities, it’s the small group discussions that make Twin Rocks camps special. Group-building initiatives create an atmosphere of trust, a place where lasting friendships are forged. Campers have the chance to be heard and cared for by their peers.
Twin Rocks Friends Camp has been an active member of the Christian Camp and Conference
Association since 1973 and has been accredited with the American Camp Association since 2000. ACA Accreditation is a stamp of approval verifying a camp’s quality programming and excellent safety standards. To maintain this accreditation, Twin Rocks passes rigorous, 157-point inspections.
