Recreation Options

Twin Rocks Friends Camp and Conference Center is located on the beautiful Oregon coast, just a block from the beach. The camp is situated on 118 wooded acres, with mountain trails and a scenic lakefront. Each year more than 13,000 individuals utilize Twin Rocks Friends Camp for such purposes as youth retreats, summer camps, outdoor schools, Elderhostels, men's/women's church retreats and family camps.

A recreational highlight for most groups coming to Twin Rocks is the delightful seven-mile stretch of uninterrupted beach just one block from the camp. The camp derives its name from the majestic "Twin Rocks" just off-shore. (Note: For safety reasons, campers are asked to stay out of the ocean and instead utilize Spring Lake for swimming, where the camp regularly provides lifeguards.)

Other recreation options include disc "Frisbee" golf; hiking trails; a recreation field; miniature golf; horseshoes; Spring Lake for swimming, boating and fishing; and a playground for small children. In addition, our Shelter (gymnasium) provides a fully winterized building in which to play basketball, volleyball, ping pong, foosball, billiards, air hockey, and shuffleboard.

For an additional fee (and with prior arrangement), groups renting Twin Rocks' facilities may also access the camp's archery range, Extreme Swing, skimboarding, and (occasionally) wave jumping in the ocean (with lifeguards, containment rope, and lifejackets).

Harbor Villa Retreat Center.  Outdoor activities at the oceanfront facilities of Harbor Villa Retreat Center (located a mile north of Twin Rocks' main camp) include horseshoes, tetherball, barbecues, and a fire circle - in addition to the beautiful Pacific Ocean in Harbor Villa's backyard.
