Shorebird Cabins

At the eastern edge of the meadow are six cottages known collectively as the Shorebird Cabins, totaling 88 beds (105 bed spaces if two are placed in each double bed) in 17 rooms. At the north end is Twin Rocks' newest and most deluxe cabin, known as Osprey. In the center are Heron, Pelican, and Sandpiper. To the south sit the more rustic (no bath inside) Kilchis and Quechua. Here are detailed descriptions of each:

OSPREY CABIN

Osprey Cabin. (20 beds, 24 bed spaces). Our newest cabin is a quadplex completed in April 2008. It has two large sleeping rooms on the main floor that sleep up to 10 people each with two full bathrooms and a vanity area with two sinks. Room 2 on the main floor is handicapped accessible. Two deluxe style rooms on the second floor have a queen bed, full bathroom, closet, table with chair and full linen service. It has a semi-view of lake and meadow area. These rooms are ideal for speakers or special guests.

PELICAN & SANDPIPER CABINS

Pelican and Sandpiper Cabins. (32 beds, 36 bed spaces). These two cabins (Pelican 1 & 2 and Sandpiper 1 & 2) have been remodeled. Each room sleeps 8 persons in four bunkbeds (one of which is double-wide). Each room is carpeted and equipped with a full bathroom and two showers. These cabins' pleasant appearance make them among the camp's most popular accommodations.

HERON CABIN

Heron Cabin. (16 beds, 20 bed spaces). The four Heron rooms are each equipped with a full bathroom, four beds (one of which is double-wide) and a desk and chair. If desired, doors between the units can be opened to create two rooms with eight beds each.

KILCHIS & QUECHUA COTTAGES

Kilchis and Quechua Cottages. (20 beds, 25 bed spaces). The knotty pine wainscoting and carpeting in these two cottages provide them with a cheerful tone. Kilchis is a duplex, Quechua a triplex: Each of the five units is equipped with a double bed and a bunk bed. Internal doors between the units enable youth camps to join rooms together for larger cabin configurations, while couples and families can leave the internal doors closed. (Kilchis & Quechua are the only housing accommodations on camp without a restroom inside of them. However, the Central Restroom facility is located across the path from Kilchis and Quechua to serve these cottages. )
