Twin Rocks Summer Staff
COME GROW WITH US!
Summer Staff 2005

Looking for a Meaningful Summer?
Twin Rocks' Summer Staff Program is designed to provide young adults with opportunities to grow spiritually through serving others, camp counseling, and living in community. If you’re looking for more than just a summer job, request information about Summer Staff at Twin Rocks Friends Camp!

             GROW THROUGH CAMP COUNSELING
Day Camp CounselingOne of the summer staff team member's most important and challenging roles is that of camp counselor. Summer staff members counsel up to four week-long summer camps for grade school, junior high and high school aged campers. During counseling weeks, summer staff team members are challenged with the opportunity to love young people and impact them for Christ. These are often the most tiring and rewarding weeks of the summer!    One on One Time

Grow Through Work
Being a summer staff team member is hard work! This is a fact Twin Rocks neither minimize nor apologizes for. Summer staff team members spend much of their time in one "main" work assignment such as lifeguarding, office, kitchen, grounds/landscaping and housekeeping. Summer staff also share regular dishwashing and camp cleaning responsibilites, and spend three to four weeks as summer camp counselors. Staff explore the question “What makes a Godly leader," as team members take turns both following and leading on summer staff work crews. Whatever the assignment, team members work together toward a common goal: developing a servant’s heart.

GROW THROUGH COMMUNITY

CommunityWorship Time

For many, the highlight of the summer experience is being a part of the close-knit summer staff community. Summer staff live in the recently constructed, hotel-style
Pacific Woods Lodge. Team members work together, worship together and play together as they invest an entire summer focused on growing in Christ. Fun activities (such as bonfires, initiative games and weekend retreats) and spiritual growth activities (such as weekly Bible studies, worship and accountability groups) help develop the summer staff team into an intimate, Christ-centered community. Incredible memories, lasting friendships and deep personal and spiritual growth are the result.
