Are you interested in learning more about year-round camping ministry? Do you desire a deeper understanding of full-time Christian ministry? Do you want to grow in your leadership abilities and gain professional experiences? If so, the Internship at Twin Rocks Friends Camp may be just right for you! Program Description The Internship Program at Twin Rocks Friends Camp is designed to equip young adults with a deeper understanding of Christ-centered leadership through the development of professional skills, ministry preparedness, and through relevant, formational curriculum within a Christian camp environment. This occurs through behind-the-scenes work, up-front leadership opportunities, interactions with campers and guests, mentoring relationships, and working alongside an intentional community of Twin Rocks staff with a shared purpose and vision. The Internship Experience Twin Rocks offers an eleven-month Internship program that provides a flexible experience blending your interests and needs with those of Twin Rocks Friends Camp. Specialized areas of concentration enable an Intern to focus on one or more areas of interest. Areas of Concentration
The Internship is structured in such a way that recent college graduates spend eleven-months (September - August) learning about full-time Christian ministry by working and serving in a Christian camp setting. Interns spend approximately 20 hours a week serving behind-the-scenes in camp operations (housekeeping, kitchen, etc…) and about 25-30 hours per week working alongside key full-time staff in the areas of programming, guest services, and executive leadership. Internship Core Experiences Core Experiences are designed to challenge you spiritually, vocationally, and personally while gaining practical work and ministry experience. Core Experiences are for every Intern regardless of their area of concentration, and include:
In addition to the Core Experiences, Interns will serve alongside year-around staff in the planning, budgeting, staffing, management, and guest service aspects of their areas of interest. Interns gain hands-on-training and experience while actively involved in the ministries of Twin Rocks Friends Camp. Financial and Lodging Arrangements Interns at Twin Rocks receive a $900 per month stipend plus housing and utilities (power, water, garbage, dsl) in apartment-style lodging. Food service is provided whenever guests are being served.
