The Twin Rocks Summer Staff Program is designed to provide young adults with opportunities to grow spiritually through serving others, camp counseling, and living in a Christ-centered community. If you're looking for more than just a summer job, then Summer Staff at Twin Rocks Friends Camp may be just right for you!

"Being a part of Summer Staff at Twin Rocks has allowed me to cultivate my faith in exciting and new ways through a community based lifestyle. Do it! You will feel loved and appreciated and will learn how to be a faithful servant of Christ." -Angelina Donaldson, Santa Rose Junior College

"The chance to step aside from the rest of the world for a summer, and the amount to which I was shaped and grown as a result, will stick with me forever." -Silas McIlraith

"Summer Staff allows you to serve the Lord in rich and memorable ways. Don't think of it as giving up your summer, think of it as jumping into likely the most rewarding summer of your life!" -Drew Larabee, Corban University

"Being part of Summer Staff is a community that you will not walk away from unchanged." -Kendy Astleford

"The support and encouragement makes the work of constantly serving and giving a joy. The staff truly resemble what it means to sacrifice themselves for the Kingdom of God." -Ivy Waltschew, George Fox University

Being a part of Summer Staff means working hard. Summer Staff rotate regularly between various work assignments, such as washing dishes, preparing meals, working grounds, and cleaning cabins. Some staff participate by working in specialized areas like lifeguarding, archery instruction, or in the camp store. Whatever the task, Summer Staff members work together toward the common goal of developing a servant's heart. (Philippians 2:5-11)

One of the Summer Staff team member's most important roles is that of camp counselor. TRFC Summer Staff often counsel several Friends youth camps for grade school through high school age campers. During counseling weeks, Summer Staff team members are challenged with the opportunity to love young people and impact them for Christ through both their actions and their words. These weeks are often the most stretching and the most fulfilling weeks of the summer! (Luke 9:48)

For many Summer Staff, the highlight of the summer experience is being a part of the close-knit camp community. Summer Staff live in hotel-style Pacific Woods Lodge. Team members work together, worship together, and play together as they invest an entire summer focused on growing in Christ. Fun activities (such as hikes, initiative games, and weekend retreats) and spiritual growth activities (morning prayer, daily devotions, worship, and small groups) help develop the Summer Staff into an intimate, Christ-centered community. Incredible memories, deep friendships and lasting spiritual growth are the results. (Ephesians 2:21-22)
