September 17-21, 2018:
October 1-5, 2018:
Theme: The Whole Wild World
“The earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it, the world, and those who live in it” (Psalm 24:1, New Revised Standard Version).
Join us this fall as we explore the wild side of God’s creation and learn more about the animals that call the Pacific Northwest home, from the smallest bug, to furriest mammals, to magnificent birds. The hands-on lessons and outdoor experiences for students (and parents) of all ages, will showcase some of the unique and incredible characteristics that make these creatures ideal for the ecosystem God has placed them in.
Outdoor school for homeschooling families is an opportunity for the entire family to laugh, learn, and explore God’s creation together. The week is filled with engaging classes, evening worship, and a variety of classic camp activities for the whole family to enjoy.
A word to parents: Camp isn’t just for kids! During the week you will be encouraged during a daily, kid-free, parent workshop. There will also be evenings set aside for moms and dads to gather together to fellowship after the kids have gone to bed.
Outdoor school offers homeschool students and their families opportunities to explore God’s creation through a variety of interactive lessons and outdoor adventures. This unique camp program offers experiences for the entire family to enjoy, with age-appropriate classes designed for students K-12, parent sessions, and plenty of traditional camp activities for families to experience throughout the day.
At Twin Rocks Friends Camp’s outdoor school for homeschool families there is always something new to explore, as we discover God’s creation through science. Students and parents will learn side-by-side from experts and specialists in an array of scientific and environmental fields.
Throughout each week families will also have the chance to have a classic camp experience outside of the classroom during afternoon freetime, with many fun activities to choose from. The camp has plenty to do and see throughout the week, giving families the chance explore the lake by boat, hike Charlotte’s Mountain, play on the beach, create a keepsake in Arts and Crafts, putt a round of Mini Golf, and much more every day of outdoor school. Twin Rocks outdoor school traditions like Gizmo boards, scriiggleboggle (a Twin Rocks favorite), and scavenger hunts are also available throughout the week.
Families can choose from two separate weeks of the program and still expect the same great teaching, excellent food and accommodations, and passionate staff and volunteers. We look forward to exploring God’s whole wild world with you.
