Surfside Camp
For youth completing 8th-12th grades in spring 2013
Dates: August 4-10, 2013
(3:30pm Sunday through 10:00am Saturday)
Surfside offers high school youth the space to grow personally and as a part of a community in a playful and intentional atmosphere. Surfside's caring staff and counselors come prepared to laugh with and listen to campers who come to be a part of the Surfside experience. Wildly creative recreation games, thought-provoking and engaging speakers, and plenty of time to be at the beach or relaxing with friends, all comes together to create a unique camp experience.
Surfside campers have great opportunities to build friendships with those in their cabin, and also in larger co-ed groups that meet daily to play games and reflect. Respect and care are important aspect of camp, and dedicated camp staff counselors model these sorts of friendships for campers and guide them as they are building new friendships of their own.
Surfside campers have fun in a variety of ways at camp. Hikes on the mountain, skim boarding at the beach, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, arts and crafts, and much more, are all available to campers. Surfside campers grow spiritually through building relationships, solo time experiences, and powerful times of gathered worship. Counselors spend time during the week with campers to offer encouragement and support in their spiritual journey. Campers are encouraged to be reflective and bold in their faith, and to become more deeply aware of God's presence in their lives.
Join us this summer for a week you won't soon forget at Surfside 2013!
Special note to 2013 high school graduates: Surfside offers special activities and sessions designed just for 2013 high school graduates. As a part of Grad Camp, recent graduates will be involved and connected with Surfside activities, but will have the added bonus of nights at Harbor Villa Retreat Center and in-depth conversation about transitioning into life after high school.
