Purpose for the Position

Our staff provides the setting and support services that allow our guests and summer campers to grow in their relationships with God. The individual who holds this position serves as the camp’s lead contact with guest groups, responsible for coordinating guest group reservations and the wide variety of guest needs in camp.

Essential Responsibilities

Lead guest services as the manager and organizer of the team as well as a team member in the following duties.

  • Be the camp’s primary contact with the guest groups and their leaders
  • Successfully oversee the camp’s calendar of guest group retreats and camps
  • Oversee the hosting of guest groups, ensuring their successful on-site experience
  • Advocate with staff for the needs of guest groups; and with guest groups for the needs of staff
  • Successfully supervise the Guest Services department and its employees
  • (Possibly) supervise the Housekeeping Manager, helping them oversee their department with excellence
  • Proactively drive conversations to coordinate guest services across organizations
  • Serve on the camp’s Management Team

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

  • An attitude of service and a commitment to Twin Rocks Friends Camp and its ministry
  • An evangelical Christian commitment and lifestyle consistent with the organization’s goals, including a signed agreement with Twin Rocks statement of faith and community responsibilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing, and over the phone
  • Previous administrative experience and training
  • Proven ability to successfully supervise employees and manage a department
  • Ability to undertake “essential responsibilities” above in a timely, friendly, respectful, detail-oriented manner

Skills and Abilities

  • Maintain a viable, growing relationship with Christ and exemplify that relationship in daily life
  • Ability to work with other staff in planning logistics and other decision-making
  • Self-motivated person who can anticipate the needs of staff and guests
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and issues at the same time and yet maintain a positive attitude
  • Ability to oversee the management of office machines
  • Ability to interact extremely well with the public
  • Ability to successfully supervise employees

Environmental conditions & Physical Demands

This position also Includes office work on the phone and looking at a screen for extended periods of time. This position also includes walking around camp outside sometimes over rough terrain. It is extremely helpful to be in good physical condition and be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Language Development

Able to communicate clearly in English with staff, guests and volunteers.

Ability to communicate clearly in other languages is a plus especially Spanish.

Specific Vocational Preparation

  • Administration, office skills, computer, supervision and other management preparations are necessary.

Compensation

This is a year round, salaried Management position. It has historically taken 47-48 hours per week. It comes with benefits provided to Twin Rocks’ Management team.

Probationary Period
