Purpose for the Position

This position provides Outdoor School groups with an educator to assist the Outdoor School Coordinator
with facilitating a variety of programs and classes. Twin Rocks’ Outdoor Education Department strives to
create an environment for student’s that showcases God’s incredible creation and builds community
with others.

Essential Responsibilities

Help facilitate Outdoor School programs, often for 1-3 schools per week during peak seasons, including:

  • leading and facilitating a variety of classes, from the perspective of place based learning
  • working with the Outdoor School Coordinator to schedule spaces and activities across multiple groups
  • other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

  • Attitude of service and a commitment to Twin Rocks Friends Camp and its ministry.
  • Possess an evangelical Christian commitment and lifestyle consistent with the organizational goals, including a signed agreement with Twin Rocks statement of faith and lifestyle commitment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
  • Ability to undertake the job duties and responsibilities in a friendly, respectful, detail-oriented manner.
  • Previous camp program administrative and management experience.
  • Previous teaching experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or above, strongly preferred

Environmental Conditions & Physical Demands

  • This position involves working both inside and outside, often in inclement weather
  • This position requires significant time during spring and fall. Other work is available at
  • Should be able to move 20-50 lbs

Language Development

Able to communicate clearly – verbally and in writing – in English with staff, guests, vendors, and volunteers. Proficiency in other languages helpful.

Skills and abilities

  • Maintain a viable, growing relationship with Christ and exemplify that relationship in daily life.
  • Ability to work with other staff in planning logistics and other decision-making.
  • Self-motivated person who can anticipate the needs of our staff and guests.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and issues at the same time and yet maintain a positive,
    friendly attitude with staff and guests.


Hourly pay and benefits vary according to qualifications and experience.

Probationary Period

Positions at Twin Rocks Friends Camp are subject to a six-month probationary period.
