Signature Recreation Options at Main Camp

Our recreation options are often a highlight of a camper’s week. Unfortunately due to the staffing requirements required to safely run some of these activities, we do need to schedule those well before you arrive at camp to ensure that we are able to staff them for you. Without our trained staff these activities are closed, but don’t worry-there’s plenty more activities available highlighted as Free Time options below.

Spring Lake Lakefront

Along the northern edge of Twin Rocks Friends Camp sits Spring Lake, where campers enjoy many hours of swimming and boating activities.

Zip Line

Our 700 ft dual zip line is an exciting trip over Cammack Field. It came into operation in 2019 and has been the highlight of camp for many guests since then. It is ADA accessible and fun for almost all ages.

Rock Wall

Built into the back of the lower zipline tower is is our two lane rock wall. Can you reach the top?

Extreme Swing

The Extreme Swing is one of Twin Rocks’ favorite camp activities. Use of the Extreme Swing is available seasonally, with advanced reservations required. An hourly fee applies to pay for supervisory staff.

Our archery range is a great place to have a nice friendly competition with friends, or a relaxing target practice, or just the opportunity to get outside and try something fun that most people don’t get to do everyday.

Free Time Options at Twin Rocks Main Camp

Our free time options do not require Twin Rocks trained staff to ensure safe operation and are available to our guests at any time their schedule allows. Common sense and a few simple rules are still required for safe operation. So please enjoy these available activities and more (Horseshoes, Disc Golf, Hiking Trails, …) safely with care for yours and others’ health and safety. And stay out of the ocean!

The Beach

Twin Rocks Friends Camp is located one block from a magnificent, 7-mile Pacific Ocean coastline. This beach is publicly-owned (as are all ocean beaches in Oregon), and the Camp makes frequent use of it for a wide array of activities. Just offshore stand two large rock formations from which the Camp derives its “Twin Rocks” name.

Cammack Field

Twin Rocks Friends Camp’s athletic field (known as Cammack Field) provides a wonderful grassy space for outdoor camp activities. It is about the size of a softball field (it even comes with a backstop) or soccer field, and is frequently utilized for all-camp recreational events. From giant games of ultimate frisbee to water fights involving hundreds of people and everything in between this field has some stories to tell. Play an old classic or use your imagination and create your own stories.

The Shelter Gym

The large A-Frame gymnasium known as The Shelter provides an excellent area to play basketball and volleyball. In addition, it houses numerous other activities, including ping pong, air hockey, foosball and billiards. The Shelter is regularly used year-round for small and large group activities and is especially appreciated during inclement weather. Lounge chairs and small group gatherings add to its function as a main hub of activity for the camp. Upon request, the Shelter can be set up with chairs to accommodate large groups of up to 600 persons.

Sand Volleyball

We have a two court sand volleyball pit that is a great place to play some volleyball, or treat it as a sand pit for littles to bury their legs in.

Gaga Ball

This simple game has kept large groups of kids and adults active and engaged round after round. Gaga Ball is a free for all contained dodge ball-ish game with full instructions posted right by “The Pit”. If you’re looking for a quick way to be active with 3-20 people for 5 minutes or much longer this is a great place to head.

Mini Golf

It’s miniature golf. You know it. You love it. We hope you’ll take time to enjoy it.

Table Games

Table games have long been a big part of Twin Rocks Friends Camp. Foosball, carpet ball, table tennis, pool and more. These are located in or near the shelter. Please enjoy.

Human Foosball

If you’ve ever wondered what soccer would look like if you strapped everyone to a bar and made them play like foosball players now you have your chance to experience just that. This is a great game for cabin vs cabin, family vs family, kids vs adults, random group of people vs other random group of people challenges.

Fort Twin Rocks

Fort Rocks was constructed in 2019 to replace our old Kiddie Corral. It’s a play fort. Kids have fun and use their imagination. The first level has a ramp to it, not fully ADA compliant, but with a little help we hope everyone that wants to can join in the fun.

Courtyards & Fire Pits

We have made sure that there are many places around camp to gather for songs and smores around a campfire, or coffee and a talk with a new or old friend. We strive to make places to have meaningful moments for group sizes 1-400 and hope you’ll take the time to reflect and grow.
